I must be doing something right ...

OK, so I realize that I haven't blogged in a while but I have good intentions too ... I even have a few rough drafts and some pictures that I have edited of Puddin' Pop to post and I will get to all of that ... eventually ... but in the mean time ... We had a very early morning today, Lucy aka 'the doggie' or 'woof woof' as PP likes to call her had to be dropped off at 'Spa'. Yes, you read that right the 'SPA' that is where I tell Lucy she is going and she gets all excited and thinks that something really good is going to happen ... which it is something really good ... for me! LOL Before y'all think I have lost my mind ... she went to the vet for grooming :) Anyway, being the multi-tasking well prepared mommy that I am (NOT!) I decided to stop by the local store and pick up some creative tools (crayons, markers) for my artistic little PP so that she can evolve her work (learn to color). Realizing that she maybe hungry ... (there is a thought!) I did what any good mommy would do, I went to McDonalds! YAY Purchased her favorite foods and went along our business. Mind you I said purchased her favorite foods ... NOT her favorite 'thing' on the menu. Her favorite foods are fried potatoes, sausage, eggs, and pancakes (for breakfast) ... she doesn't have a 'favorite thing' on the menu because we have never eaten from there before ... ever. She refused ALL of the food. She wouldn't eat any of it ... at all no matter how I tried she shook her head no and refused to eat. So I was forced to clog my arteries and invade my digestive track with the 'garb' oh Food I purchased. We came home, I knew she must be hungry by now and sure enough this time I prepared her favorite foods and she ate every bit of it!!! Yes, folks its true my daughter will NOT eat fast food, she will only eat what her mama or daddy cooks. ((Oh, and Pa because he stops by for his weekly visit and occasionally we talk him into cooking grits!)) Yes, this is going to be a good day!I feel like I have another mommy badge of honor right now :) Don't hate me because my kid won't eat fast food and don't hate yourself because your kid loves it! Just be thankful and delight in the fact that we as Americans can feed our children whatever the want ... whenever they want it ... most moms on this planet cannot say that. So, here is a challenge for you. Because there are so many starving kids in our own towns, counties, states, nation and around the world don't you think you could adopt one through a feeding program and feed them for a week, month or day? There are plenty of non-profit Christian and Non-Christian organizations out there doing this. I challenge each of you to find an organization, research it and send them some $$$ to feed a child.
